Who We Are

Mission

Community Bible Church exists as a multi-generational ministry for the worship of Jesus Christ, for the personal, spiritual growth of each individual, and to reach out to others with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Vision

Adopted In

We endeavor to be a church that invites people to become adopted in to the family of God through salvation which in turn makes them adopted in to the local church for corporate worship, fellowship, and community.

Growing Up

We emphasize spiritual disciplines in the Christian life that will foster each individual believer growing up. These practices are intended to reform a person’s heart, which works itself out in their heads (biblical literacy) and hands (Christian service).

Reaching Out

Ultimately, growth in Christ is for the purpose of reaching out. We recognize that God has uniquely given each person a circle in which they uniquely have influence including family, friends, neighbors, schoolmates, and co-workers. The best opportunity to see these people won to Christ is through individual witness.

What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21).

There is One God

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, 1:26; Ex. 3:13-14; Col. 1:17; Matt. 28:19-20).

The Deity of Jesus Christ

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (John 1:1-3, 14; Matt. 1:18; Acts 4:12; Eph. 1:1-14; 2 Cor. 5:21).

Salvation

For the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Rom. 3:23, 5:8, 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:4-7).

Ministry of the Holy Spirit

In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (John 14:26; 16:7-15; Acts 1:5, 8; 2:1-40; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:4-13).

Resurrection

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost (Dan. 12:2; 1 Cor. 15:51-53). They that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (1 Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 19, 20:11-15).

Spiritual Unity of All Believers

In the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:22-23, 5:23-33; 1 Cor. 12:12-28).
