The people of Judah heard, but did not listen as Isaiah preached God’s words. As we will see in the coming months, the result is ugly.

Last week, I pointed you to the importance of preaching, and I encouraged you to listen to a favorite podcast of mine that addressed that subject over the course of five episodes.
In preaching, though, the one listening is just as important as the one delivering the sermon. That same podcast (Things Unseen with Sinclair Ferguson) addressed listening well this week.
Did you know that you can benefit from average preaching or even bad preaching (gasp!), because God’s Spirit will use God’s Word to impact your hearts. One of my friends says this: “The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to do the work of God in the people of God…and there is no Plan B.”
